It’s been a pretty long, hot summer around here. We’ve had plenty of time to spend outside and hang out at the beach because just about everything has been closed down this summer due to the coronavirus. We usually are super busy during the summer because we are always going to concerts and outdoor festivals and things like that. Usually we don’t worry too much about how high the outdoor temperatures get in the summer, because we have this really cool little portable air conditioning system that we always take everywhere with us. Of course, you don’t always need an air conditioning system but when you do, it’s good to have one handy! This is especially true when you’re out camping in the summer and the weather isn’t cooperating. However, now it’s finally cooling down outside, I don’t need to worry anymore about the A/C. It’s finally time to start thinking about getting the furnace system ready for the winter, even though it’s not really cold yet. I always like to get the furnace maintained by a professional HVAC technician before it gets too cold outside. Plus, I like to get the gas fireplace checked out before I start using it in the winter. You never know what sort of wear and tear might be happening during the summer when you aren’t using the heating system! It is always a good idea to have regular maintenance work done on your heating system before you start using it all the time during the winter. I always think that it’s much better to be safe than sorry.
