My girlfriend and I went out of town for the weekend. It was a business trip, but we also planned to have a lot of fun! We left our 18-year-old niece in charge of our children. She was a very responsible young adult and we felt confident leaving things in her hands. The first day of our trip went well. We had a business meeting in the morning and spent the rest of the day at the hotel pool. The next day, we got a call from our niece and she had a little problem and needed advice. Our niece informed me that the heating and air system stopped working. She said it was running but no cool air was coming out of the air conditioner vents. I made a call to my local HVAC provider and asked if they could send someone over to my home. They sent an HVAC technician to my house. After an hour, I got a call from my niece. She informed me that the HVAC guy has solved the cooling issue. He put some Freon in the HVAC compressor and cleaned the inside air conditioner coil. My niece also told me that the HVAC business owner called her directly to make sure she was satisfied with the repair job. I was very thankful that the HVAC provider was so helpful when I could not be at home. My niece also did a wonderful job ensuring that the heating and cooling system was properly repaired. I was proud of my niece and she handled the HVAC emergency like the adult she is.
